“All Juniors attended the 2nd Annual Press Conference- You are the Future on Friday, Dec. 1st with
guest speakers; Jean Riordan- Saint Xavier, Ashley Jarrell- UIC, Andriana Esparza- Moraine Valley, Maurice King- IBEW, and Desiree Vasquez, ISAC
Together, they discussed important college and career topics from financial aid to choosing the right college and major for you!

Music of the Season!

Featuring Choral and Instrumental Music presented by the Reavis Music Department, in celebration of music of the season! The ORCHESTRA , CHAMBER CHORUS, INTERMEZZO, CONCERT BAND, WIND ENSEMBLE, CONCERT CHOIR , JAZZ BAND, BLUENOTES, SYMPHONIC BAND, PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE will be performing. The concert starts at 7:00 pm in the Grossman auditorium. Admission is free.

Local Government

On November 4th, senior Government students welcomed Reavis D220 Board President Cook, Burbank Alderwoman Gagle, Tinley Park Clerk Thirion, and Prairie Trails Library Board member Trovato! Thank you for sharing your local government experiences with our students.

Small art, Big talent!
Congratulations to the Reavis Art students who were recognized at the Chicagoland 4x5 High School Art Exhibition held at Oswego High School. Over 40 schools submitted more than 1000 small (4x5 inch) works of art in 9 categories. 
Junior, A. Rodriguez won 2nd place in Drawing Senior, A. Banks, Sophomore F. Nassan, Senior J.r Gutierrez, Junior K. Kwitkowski, and Senior J. Glowacz won honorable mentions in Drawing. Seniors H. Bounar, J. Rapp and B. Hannan won honorable mention in the Painting category.

ATTENTION! The Reavis Softball Program will be holding a FREE Youth Softball Camp on Saturday, December 16th for any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader who currently plays or has interest in playing softball. The camp will be held in the Reavis North Gym from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.No RSVP required. Bring any and all equipment that you have. Congrats to Coach Jake Juracka and the Varsity Boys Cross Country team on capturing the SSC RED Championship!  This is the program’s 1st conference championship since 2010.
 The boys clinched the title by placing all 5 of its scored runners in the top 11 at Tuesday afternoon’s conference meet.
 Runners who finish in the top 10 earn All-Conference.  Congrats to the following 4 individuals who earned this honor 
R. Zieba (6th), F.  Garcia (7th), G.  Rivera (9th), A. Zambrano (10th).

Red Ribbon Week

Ambassadors are busy planning Red Ribbon Week for the week of 10/23 – 10/27.

Please look at our list (attached) to see how to dress for each day. The homeroom with the best percentage of participation will win a pizza party! Please also keep your eyes open for our daily competitions to win prizes! Red Ribbon Week’s Mission: Bring awareness and attention to the abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, as well as creating a safe and drug-free school and community.

Annual Fall Sports Awards

The annual Fall Sports Awards will be held Wednesday, November 7th @ 7pm in the Grossman Auditorium. We will honor all of our Fall athletes and teams. All Fall Student-Athletes and their parents/guardians are invited to attend.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Little Rams Wrestling Club

“Little Rams Wrestling Club” is looking for kids ages 5-14 years old who are self- disciplined, self-motivated and Love to Win and Hate to Lose! Come on out and join this one on one sport that demands mental toughness, dedication and self pride! We can teach and develop these qualities in the sport of wrestling, one of the oldest sports in the world, right in your backyard at Reavis High School. Our club is part of the IKWF (Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation) now in its 48th year and the largest youth wrestling organization in the country.
