STEM Day: Last Thursday 150 Reavis physics students presented their investigative projects to a group of mentors from the S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) community. Student projects ranged from determining the effect of pressure on hydroelectric generators to developing potential methods to diminish the effects of landslides. The mentors were impressed with students’ creativity as well as their analytical and communication skills. Congratulations to all the students, Mr. Gadomski, Ms. O’Malley and Mr. Hurley on a job well done. Special thanks to Reavis alumnus, Mario Urquizo for leading a presentation on the importance of coding in the workforce.
