The Passing of Reavis Student

Reavis Faculty, Staff, Students, Families, and Community:

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of one of our Reavis Rams, Matthew Miller-Hernandez.  Matt was a sophomore student who was unfortunately caught in the middle of some gun violence while in Chicago on Wednesday, November 24.

Please join me in offering our sincere thoughts and prayers for Matthew's family and close friends.  We all grieve the loss of one of our Rams during a time that is supposed to be cheerful and full of gratitude.  We are reminded that every day is a gift and to never take tomorrow for granted.

The Reavis Administration and Board of Education stand ready to assist our students, faculty, and staff during this difficult time.  If any student is feeling stressed, anxious, or worried, please do not hesitate to contact their counselor, dean, social worker, or teacher.  We are here to listen, talk, and assist you throughout this process.

Sincerely,

Dr. Riordan
