Reavis High School’s fine arts magazine, the Rampage, has continued a tradition of excellence by finishing at the top of several rigorous national competitions. In the Columbia (University, New York) Scholastic Press Association competition, the magazine was awarded a Gold Medalist Publication (the highest CSPA award possible), as well as All-Columbian Honors in one of 3 possible categories: Visual Appearance of the Magazine. In the American Scholastic Press Association competition, the magazine was awarded First Place (highest award possible). Last year’s edition (2016) of the magazine, entitled “Perpetuity,” earned the CSPA Gold Medal for the second year in a row, and an ASPA First Place for the third time. The magazine has never before earned “All Columbia Honors.” Congratulations to faculty sponsor Brian Murphy and his 16 Reavis student staff members, especially the two Senior Editors, Fatima Khateeb and Aysha Yasin, as well as the many talented student writers and artists whose outstanding work was showcased in the magazine. This year’s magazine is underway and we look forward to producing yet another nationally recognized publication!
