District E-Learning Plan
The state of Illinois allows school districts the usage of five (5) e-learning days per calendar year in case of inclement weather or another unforeseen emergency. E-learning is the implementation of virtual school day that allows instruction and learning to be continuous when school might otherwise be cancelled. E-learning days do not need to be made up at the end of the regular school year. The parameters of the Reavis High School e-learning plan are as follows:
D220 will communicate with students and families via email, phone, and SMS in the event an approved e-learning day is implemented.
Students will be expected to engage in five clock hours of both synchronous (virtual classroom) and asynchronous (independent) instruction.
Attendance for all e-learning days will be documented, and students will be given up to two (2) days to complete and submit any assignments.
