About the Program:

The Reavis Early Childhood Center is offered through our Family and Consumer Sciences Department to children ages 3-5. The preschool program intends to provide a unique, career-based learning experience for students interested in early childhood education. Run entirely by Reavis students under the guidance of certified teacher, Ms. Katie Glenn, the program allows high schoolers to gain practical experience through the preparation of learning activities and assessment of kindergarten readiness skills. Our students develop important skills in leadership, communication, and child development, while the preschoolers benefit from engaging activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth. It’s a dynamic opportunity for both groups, fostering a nurturing environment where students can learn and grow together.

  • Holiday Celebrations (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and a Winter Party) 

  • Student Birthdays

  • Read Across America Week

  • Field Trips to the Pumpkin Patch and Zoo

  • Preschool Graduation

Program Specifics:

The RECC is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm, starting in October and ending in late April or early May. The official Reavis High School calendar is followed, with all major holidays and breaks as non-attendance days. The preschool is closed the months of August, September, and January so students can prepare accordingly. The cost of preschool for the entire year is $200.

Registration:

Registration for the 2025 - 2026 school year will open on March 1st and close on March 8th. Please follow the registration link below:
