Yesterday, the Reavis RAMBLERS visited Feed My Starving Children. The group, organized by Kim Zaucha and Jill Atkenson pairs students with Autism with a neurotypical peer in order to encourage social connections and relationships. The mentors connect with their mentees at least twice per month, and they attend monthly meetings together during Advisory or Office Hours. Yesterday's trip provided students with a service and connection opportunity.

Today is Illinois School Board Member Appreciation Day!
Reavis High School – District 220 would like to recognize our wonderful school board members who dedicate their time and expertise for the good of our students, staff, parents, and community. Without their guidance and leadership, Reavis would not be the special place it is today.
Please join us in thanking Russ McKinley (President), Andrea Creger (Vice President), Linda O’Dowd (Secretary), Ted Arnold, Steve Ficker, Ruben Moreno, and Sylvia Talavera for their outstanding service to Reavis High School.

Calling all Freshmen and Sophomores!

Yesterday, Mr. Davis and Mr. Faust took the Reavis Marching Band out to play at Burbank's Veterans Day ceremony held at McCambridge Veteran Memorial. Max Mszal played "Taps" beautifully, and the entire band sounded wonderful--even in the biting cold. It was a lovely ceremony.

Burbank Mayor Dave Gilgenberg came in today to speak to Ms. Glow's Horticulture & Environemntal Club students regarding the local environment. He shared new initiatives, community challenges, and tips for students to partake in to help protect their community flora and fauna.

🎃 Happy Halloween, Rams! 🎃
Don't forget to turn those clocks back this weekend as we welcome November! ⏰🍂

"This or That" Halloween Edition results indicate our Rams prefer treats over playing tricks! 🎃

The October issue of The Blueprint is now available! Grab a hard copy at the school--or check out the digitial copy here. https://drive.google.com/file/d/12Wy4xC1lsgYoTHSuwvvQ2jSOTc2gloSS/view?usp=sharing

Come out to see Footloose this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday at 7pm in the Grossman Auditorium!

Today was our soft opening for the new Reavis student union — The Ram Den.
The technology-free environment had positive vibes aligned to our mission to increase face-to-face peer interactions supporting our social-emotional wellness.
The grand opening for all academically eligible junior/senior students will begin October 30. We will expand its use to the freshmen and sophomore classes in November. The student union will pilot two days a week this semester, and will expand its use in the future.

It's a beautiful morning for a Bass Fishing tournament! Special shout out to Coach Tony DelAlcazar...this is his last time out with the team, as he will retire in December. What a better way to end than in a boat with our two IHSA State Qualifiers from last Spring?!

The Reavis Mathletes are 2 for 2 in conference matches! What an outstanding group of students. #RamsWill

📆 Another fun-filled October is upon us! Save your dates, Rams!

Parent-Teacher Conferences are two weeks away! No appointments needed — Stop in at your convenience!
We invite all parents and guardians to connect with teachers during our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences. This is a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, ask questions, and strengthen the home-school partnership.
We look forward to seeing you there, and working together to support your child’s success.

Our Rise Up students raised almost $2000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and walked three miles at Chicago's Out of the Darkness Walk today to show their support for the cause.

Due to weather, we must move indoors. Still 7:30-10:30, still $20 cash at the door (if you didn't pre-pay), and still a great time!
See you there!
