Reavis hosted the area IHSA Solo & Ensemble competition last Saturday, where our students’ musical talents shined bright.
Reavis competitors had the highest point total of all SSC schools; state-wide, they placed 7th in vocal events, 4th in band events, and 7th overall.
Additionally, Reavis competitors were named Best of Day in two events. This is a distinct honor: Only 30 performances out of the 975 that took place can earn this designation. Special congratulations go to Natalie Phillips, Charlize Burciaga, and Justin Zavala (event: Vocal Trio) performing "I Want To Be Ready" by Rosephanye Powell AND Justin Zavala performing "Movin' Too Fast" from The Last Five Years (event: Vocal Musical Theatre Solo).
Kudos to Andy Davis and Brandon Faust, whose work with these students each day makes all the difference!

The Reavis Science Club crushed the competition at tonight's competition to win the SSC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP! Huge congratulations to our students and their sponsor, Mrs. Therese Schoder. GO RAMS! 🐏 🧪 🧫

Today some of the wonderful students in our music department participated in the SSC Choir Festival. They performed, and then they participated in a clinic with choral professionals. What a great day for our kids!

The Reavis Speech Team has made SCHOOL HISTORY. Congratulations to the students and coaches of the 2024-25 team on their IHSA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. It is incredibly difficult to earn a team trophy in any IHSA state competition, including speech. This is the first ever for Reavis-in an event that we've been competing in since the 1950's. Details to come--but for now, let's celebrate THE WIN!
