In May of 2024, the Reavis Board of Education passed a resolution to rename the Reavis Rehearsal Room to The Witting Theatre in honor of Tom Witting's retirement after 31 years as a teacher, drama director, and Student Activities Director. Tom's impact, not only on the Reavis Drama Department, but on ALL of our student activities and special programs, will be felt for generations to come. Renaming this performance space in his honor reminds us of his contributions and years of service to our school.
We thank Tom and wish him well in his retirement.

Reavis High School – District 220 would like to thank Mr. Jim Brodinski for his dedicated service as a Board of Education Member for the past 7 years. Mr. Brodinski was an exemplary board member, who never missed a meeting, was a strong advocate for all Reavis’s faculty & staff, and was a champion for all of our student needs. Reavis High School is what it is today because of the vision of our dedicated school board.
Thank you, Mr. Brodinski, for your devotion to the Reavis, Burbank, and Stickney communities. We wish you all the best in your retirement and future endeavors. Once a Ram, Always a Ram!

The semester may have ended on Friday, but the SSC Conference Speech Tournament took place yesterday at Oak Forest High School, and the Rams have DONE IT AGAIN.
For the fourth year in a row, the Reavis Speech Team has secured the SSC Conference Championship. Every competitor contributed to the win; additionally, Rams were All-Conference in 10 out of the 14 events including:
-Dramatic Duet Acting: Justin Zavala & Ruby Corral, 2nd place
-Extemporaneous Speaking: Ava Speck, 3rd place
-Humorous Duet Acting: Rosandy Garcia-González & Max Haines, 1st place; Madison Mittler & Milo Soliday, 3rd place
-Humorous Interpretation: Layla Tieri, 2nd place
-Oratorical Declamation: Raeda Nassan, 2nd place
-Original Comedy: Julia Rivera, 2nd place
-Original Oratory: Samantha Abad, 3rd place
-Poetry: Jorge Burciaga, 1st place
-Prose: Raeda Nassan, 1st place
-Special Occasion Speaking: Laura Galindo, 3rd place
Additionally, Julia Rivera was named Top Novice in both of her events.

Last night, Art teacher Abby Montes introduced the School Board to PUBLISHED ILLUSTRATOR, senior Carmen Casillas. Carmen spent a year crafting over 100 illustrations for a children's book that takes place in a small town in Mexico. What a talented young woman! #RamsWill

Meet Brandon Van. He's a senior leader in student activities, and his accomplishments over four years on the Chess Team have been remarkable.
Brandon plays board two for our undefeated Varsity Chess Team (10-0 on the season!), and HE is undefeated this season as an individual player.
Even more impressive is his four year conference record:
Freshman 10-2-0
Sophomore 12-0-0
Junior 11-0-1
Senior 10-0-0 (2 games to go)
TOTAL RECORD: 43-2-1 💣
Final fun fact: As a sophomore, Brandon became one of only four Reavis players in school history to earn a state medal. Fingers crossed for this year.

Students in Oral Com who read the graphic novel "American Born Chinese" are experiencing Chicago's booming Chinatown today on a field trip. And they found a Ram! 🐏
Congratulations are in order! The Reavis Mathletes won the SSC Conference Championship last night at Eisenhower High School. They secured the SSC Red trophy and were also the top scoring team in the entire SSC.
Kudos to head coach, Vera Corrigan and assistant coaches Giselle Campos, Iwona Mierzwa, Erik Scheiner, & Bernie Zajac on their hard work all season.
